7th Annual N & JT Bocce tournament and dinner

Spring is here! That means it won’t be long until Bocce Season!

On Saturday, June 25, 2011, The Helping Kids and Families Fund will be sponsoring the 7th annual N & JT Charity Mixed Couples Bocce Ball Tournament at the St. Ambrogio Society bocce courts to raise funds for two programs benefiting our community. It’s hard to believe but it’s been 7 successful years helping kids and families in our community!

And, in addition to the tournament, at our dinner we’ll offer one of Chicago and Rockford’s favorite entertainers with The Vito Zatto Show.

This fundraising event will benefit Rockford MELD for their programs helping kids from single parent households and St. Anthony of Padua Church to replenish their fund which helps families in need. Since we started this event, the Bocce tournament and dinner has raised over $24,000 for community organizations.

Thank you thank you

Although we are still tabulating, it looks like this year’s bocce tournament was another outstanding success!!  As of today, we raised over $4500 for charity from this one day event!!  Thanks to all of our sponsors, participants in the tournament and to those who attended the dinner and show.

2 days away!

I want to thank The Helping Kids and Families Fund board for working so hard for the big event Saturday!  It takes alot of effort from many people to hold a successful event.     And successful it will be – so rest up now and have fun on Saturday!

Bocce tournament update

Just wanted to update you on our  tournament July 10th.  We have room for a few more teams so I’ve extended the sign up for another week.  Also, if you don’t have a 4 member team (2 girls/2 boys) then sign up anyway and we’ll form a team for you.

Our dinner entertainment will be a blast with The Vito Zatto Show.  Those of you who have seen him perform know what I mean when I say he is truly a funny entertainer.  Everyone will enjoy Vito’s singing, comedy and impersonations!  There will also be dancing later in the evening.

Dinner will start at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 6:30 p.m.  We’ll have the raffle drawing at 8:30 p.m.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
